eGym Connected Machines

At the heart of the Maison du Peps experience, eGym connected machines represent a revolution in gym training. Thanks to their automatic calibration technology, each machine adapts to your body shape and fitness level in just seconds. The resistance is adjusted in real time throughout each movement, ensuring optimal muscle engagement without the risk of injury. Read our in-depth analysis of eGym results.

The integrated digital tracking records every session: weights used, number of repetitions and progress over time. Your physiotherapist accesses this data to fine-tune your programme and objectively measure your improvement. This data-driven approach is especially valuable for people in rehabilitation, seniors and anyone who wants to train with maximum efficiency.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced athlete, eGym machines support your progression. The available programmes cover general strength building, back pain prevention, toning and overall fitness improvement.

Guided Strength Training

At Maison du Peps, strength training is supervised by state-registered physiotherapists, which makes all the difference compared to a regular gym. Every exercise is explained, corrected and adapted according to your physical condition, medical history and goals. This professional supervision guarantees flawless technique and minimises the risk of injury.

Guided strength training is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. It is particularly recommended for people returning to exercise after a long break, seniors looking to prevent sarcopenia and those in the rehabilitation phase. Check out our guides on building muscle after 60 and getting back into exercise after 50.

Strength-training programmes are custom-built by your physiotherapist-coach during the initial assessment. They evolve as you progress, with regular re-evaluations to adjust weights, exercises and training volume.

Yoga

Our group yoga classes fit naturally into the Maison du Peps health-focused approach. Led by experienced instructors, these classes develop flexibility, joint mobility and stress management through postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama) and relaxation.

Yoga is the perfect complement to strength training and eGym machine workouts. While resistance training builds muscular power, yoga restores body balance by improving muscle-chain flexibility, body awareness and breathing quality. This complementarity reduces accumulated tension and supports recovery.

Whether you are a beginner or a regular practitioner, our classes adapt to your level. Our instructors provide variations for each posture, making yoga accessible to everyone, including those with joint limitations or chronic pain.

Pilates

Pilates holds a special place in our health and fitness offering. This method focuses on deep core strengthening, improving posture, trunk stability and neuromuscular coordination. It is a recognised therapeutic tool that our physiotherapists regularly recommend alongside rehabilitation programmes.

Pilates exercises specifically target stabiliser muscles — the transverse abdominis, multifidus and pelvic floor — which are often neglected in conventional training. By strengthening these deep muscles, pilates corrects postural imbalances, prevents lower-back pain and enhances overall athletic performance.

Our pilates classes welcome all fitness levels. They are particularly suited for people returning to exercise, post-partum women and athletes looking to improve their functional core strength. Sessions are held in small groups for individualised attention.

Sauna

Our Finnish sauna is a recovery and wellness space integrated into the Maison du Peps experience at Le Perreux-sur-Marne. After a training session, the dry heat of the sauna (between 70 and 90 °C) promotes vasodilation, improves blood circulation and accelerates the elimination of toxins built up during exercise.

From a muscular standpoint, the sauna helps relax the fibres engaged during your workout, thereby reducing soreness and tension. It is a recovery tool favoured by athletes and recommended by our physiotherapists as part of a balanced training routine.

Beyond its physical benefits, the sauna offers a moment of deep relaxation that helps reduce stress and improve sleep quality. Sauna access is included in the membership at our Le Perreux-sur-Marne gym.

Recovery Area

Every Maison du Peps gym features a dedicated recovery area, because we know that progress depends as much on training as it does on the quality of recovery. This space is equipped with foam rollers, mobilisation balls, resistance bands and mats for stretching.

Our physiotherapists teach you the correct self-massage and stretching techniques to relax your muscles after each session. Foam rolling, for example, improves local circulation, reduces fascial adhesions and speeds up muscle recovery. These simple techniques, practised regularly, significantly lower the risk of injury and soreness.

The recovery area is freely accessible to all members. Occasional workshops are organised to deepen recovery and mobility techniques, always under the expert guidance of our health professionals.

Personalised Follow-Up

Personalised follow-up by physiotherapists is the hallmark of Maison du Peps. Unlike traditional gyms where coaches have a generalist background, our professionals hold medical expertise that allows them to tailor every programme to your body's specific needs, any existing conditions and your goals. Discover why this approach makes the difference in our article on the gym supervised by physiotherapists.

The follow-up includes regular assessments to evaluate your progress, adjust your training programme and set new targets. The data collected by the eGym machines feeds into this monitoring: your physiotherapist has access to objective indicators — strength, endurance, joint range of motion — to steer your training scientifically.

Whether you want to lose weight, build muscle mass, improve your posture or manage a chronic condition, personalised coaching ensures training that is adapted, progressive and safe at every stage of your journey.

Exercise on Prescription

Since the 2016 law, doctors in France can prescribe adapted physical activity (APA) for patients with a long-term condition (ALD): diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer, chronic respiratory conditions. Maison du Peps is qualified to welcome these patients thanks to supervision by physiotherapists. Read our complete guide to exercise on prescription.

The programme is established in coordination with the prescribing doctor and adapted to the condition, fitness level and contraindications of the patient. Sessions combine cardiovascular work on connected machines, adapted strength training and flexibility exercises. Regular medical monitoring allows the intensity to be adjusted and the health benefits to be measured.

Some health insurance plans and local authorities offer partial or full coverage for exercise on prescription. Our teams support you through the administrative process and point you towards the financial assistance schemes available in your area.

Free Comprehensive Assessment

Every new member at Maison du Peps receives a completely free comprehensive assessment carried out by a physiotherapist. This assessment is the starting point of your health and fitness journey. It includes an evaluation of your body composition (muscle mass, body fat, hydration), your fitness level (strength, flexibility, endurance) and an in-depth discussion about your goals and medical history.

Following this assessment, your physiotherapist creates a personalised training programme and configures your eGym machines. This programme evolves with you: regular follow-up assessments allow exercises, weights and targets to be adjusted as you progress. Find out more about our gyms in our detailed guides for Le Perreux-sur-Marne and Paris Marais.

This initial assessment is a strong commitment on our part: we do not simply give you access to machines — we genuinely support you on your fitness journey. It is this medically informed, human-centred approach that makes Maison du Peps a unique place where sport and health go hand in hand.
